Video call counselling is a popular accessible way to meet your counsellor and get support from the comfort of your own home. We meet on zoom, so will see and hear each other just like we would in traditional in person counselling. Online counselling is often much easier to fit around other commitments as you don't have any travel time or any added stress of buses and parking. Just login and meet me. WHAT IS AN INTRODUCTORY SESSION? An introductory session is is different from a normal counselling session. It's basically a chance to meet with me and see if we feel comfortable working together. Instead of just starting counselling sessions and committing straight away, I want to help give you some time to work out if you want to work with me. You may have read lots of stuff on my website and watched my little videos, but until you actually meet me you won't know if it's going to feel right for you. An introductory session gives you the opportunity to meet me to help you think about what you want from counselling. We will also talk about why you feel counselling might be helpful for you right now in your life. A few days before your booked introductory session you will be sent a few simple forms to complete and sign online. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE MEET? If you choose to start counselling sessions after meeting me you will usually be offered a weekly day/time slot which matches the time/day you chose for your introductory session. If you are not available for this you will be added to a waiting list and offered the next available time slot.
